Preparers of the Universal Prayer (Prayer of the Faithful)

Just as sharing the Body and Blood of Christ in Holy Communion is the conclusion and climax of people’s participation in the Liturgy of the Eucharist, so praying for the Church and the world in the general intercessions is the conclusion and climax of their participation in the Liturgy of the Word. The general Instruction of the Roman Missal states: “In the general intercessions, or prayer of the faithful, the people, exercising their priestly function, intercede for all humanity”(45).
Parishioners of St. Margaret’s are invited to join in the rotation of writing these prayers. When a current schedule is available it will be included here.

The Ministry of Music

The Music Ministry of Saint Margaret’s Church leads, sustains and enhances the sung worship of our parish community throughout the liturgical year. Our cantors, instrumentalists and choirs use their many gifts and talents to help our community to respond to God’s Word, to acclaim the Gospel, and sing of our salvation in Christ.

Interested in becoming a part of our music ministry family? Choir rehearsals are Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm-8:30pm in the Church.  The liturgical schedule is flexible, in that, choir members and instrumentalists can choose between the Saturday 4:30pm liturgy or the Sunday 10:30am liturgy. Our choir is non-auditioned and rehearsal CDs are provided.

Our parish also has a Children’s Choir that sings during Christmas and Holy Week liturgies.  Rehearsals usually begin three weeks prior to the major holidays and are from 4:00pm-5:30pm in the Church
