Music Ministry
There are three choirs at St. Margaret’s Church. The Adult Choir sings at two liturgies on the weekend and at special liturgical celebrations during the year. Rehearsal is on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 p.m. You do not have to audition. You need only to want to praise with song and commit to one weekend liturgy and rehearsals on Tuesday evenings.
The Funeral Choir is a voluntary group who sing for funerals that occur at our church. There is no extra time set aside for rehearsals as they meet about one-half hour before the funeral and get familiar with the music for the day. You are notified of any funerals and their times. It is not necessary for you to attend all of the funerals.
There is also a Children’s Choir that sings twice a year. Christmas and Easter are the times that we participate in the liturgies. It usually involves three rehearsals on Saturday afternoons for one hour. The ages are seven through about eleven. The children must be able to read and be able to attend the rehearsals.

Preparers of the General Intercessions (Prayer of the Faithful)
Just as sharing the Body and Blood of Christ in Holy Communion is the conclusion and climax of people’s participation in the Liturgy of the Eucharist, so praying for the Church and the world in the general intercessions is the conclusion and climax of their participation in the Liturgy of the Word. The general Instruction of the Roman Missal states: ”In the general intercessions, or prayer of the faithful, the people, exercising their priestly function, intercede for all humanity”(45).
Parishioners of St. Margaret’s are invited to join in the rotation of writing these prayers after being given some general instruction. Download the current schedule
